About
Rooted in Plymouth. Driven by data.
The Measured Garden started from a simple frustration: growing food is rewarding, but knowing why something worked — or didn't — shouldn't require guesswork.
I've spent the last 15 years as a horticulturist growing edible and medicinal crops. I hold a B.S. in Horticulture from the University of Hawaii, where I developed hands-on experience with tropical and subtropical production that I still draw on today — from citrus and tropical fruit in heated greenhouses to cold-hardy vegetables through New England winters. Citrus is a particular focus — it's one of the most sought-after crops for home growers and one of the easiest to get wrong without the right knowledge.
I'm always trialing new varieties and types of edible crops — it's one of the parts of this work that keeps me going. Alongside growing, I have a genuine passion for data collection and analysis. I've always tracked what I grow — varieties, yields, soil conditions, what worked and what didn't. The Measured Garden brings that together into a service: professional horticulture backed by real data, so every season builds on the last.
I'm based in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and serve Greater Plymouth, Southeast Massachusetts, and the surrounding communities. Every garden I work with is unique — different soil, different sun, different goals. That's exactly why the data matters. Generic advice gets generic results. Your yard deserves better.

What we believe
Measure, don’t guess
Intuition is valuable. Data makes it precise. We track conditions and outcomes so every recommendation is grounded in evidence from your specific property.
No chemicals, no exceptions
This is food for your family. We never use synthetic pesticides or herbicides. Healthy soil, smart design, and the right varieties are all you need.
Every yard is different
A south-facing yard in Duxbury grows differently than a shaded lot in Hingham. We don’t apply templates. We learn your space and work with what it gives us.
It should be effortless for you
The sensors run themselves. The data collects itself. You don’t log, track, or maintain anything. Open your dashboard when you’re curious — or don’t. Either way, it works.
Let's talk about your garden
Every project starts with a conversation. Tell us what you're thinking — we'll tell you what's possible.
